Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya midrange strategy centered on Hamza, Guardian of Arashin. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient low-cost creatures on turns 1 through 3 and distributing +1/+1 counters using cards like Botanical Brawler, Rishkar, Peema Renegade, and Venerated Loxodon. Once Hamza enters the battlefield on turn 4, each counter-bearing creature acts as a permanent cost reducer for future creature spells. This discount lets the deck empty its hand rapidly, chaining discounted artifact creatures and card-draw engines like Armorcraft Judge and Inspiring Call. The primary win route relies on overrun combat buffs from Goldnight Commander, Valor in Akros, or Champion of Lambholt to push lethal damage across turns 6 and 7. The deck also features a combo finish: bouncing Ancestral Statue infinitely for {0} mana with Hamza and 4 counters on board to trigger enter-the-battlefield payoffs like Radiant Solar. Its main vulnerabilities are mass exile sweepers and a lack of instant creature removal.
