Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari lifegain and typal swarm deck commanded by Blech, Loafing Pest. The strategy focuses on combining low-cost lifegain triggers with repeatable token generation across Pests, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Blech, Loafing Pest converts every lifegain instance into +1/+1 counters distributed across the entire typal board. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with 1-2 CMC ramp, establishes its commander and token generators on Turns 3-4, and builds a massive wide board. By Turn 6, overrun effects like Blossoming Bogbeast, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, and trample enablers like Duskshell Crawler convert this wide army into lethal combat damage across successive turns, with an ultimate finish on Turn 8. Alternatively, the deck can assemble a lethal drain loop via Dina, Soul Steeper and Exquisite Blood. While resilient against single-target interaction, the deck remains vulnerable to mass creature board wipes.
