Deck overview

This deck is a 5-Color Kindred Engine piloted by The Ur-Dragon. While The Ur-Dragon rarely needs to be cast from the command zone, its Eminence ability provides an active 1-mana cost reduction to every Changeling spell in the deck because Changelings possess all creature types. This allows the deck to deploy low-cost, multi-type creatures at hyper-efficient rates. These Changelings concurrently trigger specialized payoffs from Magic's history: they count as Elves and Wolves for Voja, Jaws of the Conclave, Scarecrows for Reaper King, Demons for Liliana's Contract, Dwarves for Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Slivers for Cloudshredder Sliver, and Merfolk for Hakbal of the Surging Soul. The deck transitions rapidly from an accelerated early board state to explosive mid-game card advantage and massive combat scaling. It protects its proactive turns using silence effects like Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos, overwhelming the table through combat damage or asymmetric board control.
