Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Lluwen, Exchange Student // Pest Friend to run a resilient aristocrats and lifegain strategy. The primary plan revolves around producing a steady stream of 1/1 Pest tokens, sacrificing them to various outlets, and converting death and lifegain triggers into substantial life loss for opponents. Dense ramp enables a Turn 4 engine setup where Lluwen immediately casts Pest Friend to begin generating fodder. By Turn 6, the deck deploys potent payoffs like Syr Konrad, the Grim, Blossoming Bogbeast, or Plumb the Forbidden, draining the table rapidly and closing the game around Turn 8. While the deck lacks countermagic and dedicated shielding spells, it excels at creature-based attrition, board control through asymmetric edicts, and recovering through rich graveyard recursion.
