Light Karlach IRL by spicysylvie

Format: Commander

Commander: Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Flaming Fist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Boros equipment/extra-combat deck built to make Karlach, Fury of Avernus the fastest possible double-striking attacker. Flaming Fist is the critical Background: it gives Karlach double strike on every attack, and Karlach's attack trigger adds a second combat. Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar acts as a hidden commander, turning Karlach's double-strike hits into damage at every other opponent and allowing a two-turn table kill. Secondary plans are equipment beatdown via Bruenor/Puresteel/Stoneforge and the late-game haymakers Insurrection or Chandra's Ignition with Aettir and Priwen. No double-faced commander is present; the deck is built around the Karlach face and the Background.
