Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis Midrange Aristocrats list helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The primary strategy focuses on ramping into Sauron on Turn 4, leveraging his built-in ward protection and automatic amass triggers to generate a continuous flow of Orc Army tokens whenever opponents cast spells. Connecting with an Army tempts the Ring, allowing the pilot to discard their hand and draw four fresh cards each turn. The deck converts this steady supply of tokens into direct table-wide damage and mana through sacrifice outlets like Warren Soultrader and Phyrexian Altar, paired with potent drain engines such as Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, and The Great Goblin. Backed by a dense package of free countermagic, premier removal, and board wipes, the deck controls the pace of the game while grinding down opposing life totals to close the game on Turn 7.
