Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Group Hug and Forced Draw Midrange Combo engine commanded by Willie Lumpkin, Postman. The game plan leverages Willie's unblockable combat trigger alongside symmetric draw engines like Howling Mine, Faerie Mastermind, and Dictate of Kruphix to flood the table with resources while accelerating card velocity. Willie Lumpkin, Postman and The Second Doctor provide diplomatic protection by locking opponents who accept card draws out of attacking, while Smothering Tithe converts opposing draws into explosive mana. The deck navigates toward a decisive combo finish centered on Mind Over Matter paired with Temple Bell, Kwain, Itinerant Meddler, or Loran of the Third Path. Once assembled, this loop draws the entire library, floating mana by untapping lands to cast Laboratory Maniac, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, or Psychosis Crawler for an instant win on Turn 6. Backed by free counterspells and Grand Abolisher, the deck transitions cleanly into a protected, lethal finish.
