Commander: The Infamous Cruelclaw

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos "cheat-from-exile" strategy helmed by The Infamous Cruelclaw. The primary game plan is to connect with Cruelclaw, exile a nonland card, and cast it by discarding, turning the commander into a repeatable burst of card advantage. The deck is packed with cascade and discover effects-Hit the Mother Lode, Call Forth the Tempest, Trumpeting Carnosaur, and Bituminous Blast-that chain into free spells, while high-CMC bombs like Archon of Cruelty, Etali, Primal Storm, and Artisan of Kozilek provide overwhelming value when cheated out. Extra combat from Scourge of the Throne accelerates the clock. The deck also leverages the graveyard with Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Chainer, Nightmare Adept to recur threats. It wins through combat damage, using evasion tools like Rogue's Passage and Brotherhood Regalia to ensure Cruelclaw hits.
