Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Terra, Herald of Hope at the helm of a dynamic graveyard reanimation and combat aristocrats strategy. By combining self-mill triggers and direct-to-graveyard tutors such as Entomb and Buried Alive, the deck rapidly stocks its graveyard with high-utility creatures. Terra takes to the skies on Turn 4, using her Trance ability to mill additional cards and reanimate low-power utility creatures upon connecting with combat damage. The list seamlessly bridges small utility creatures with heavyweight finishers, using recursive engines like Sun Titan, Karmic Guide, and Reveillark to cheat massive threats into play. Game closure is achieved through high-impact combat steps enabled by Aurelia, the Warleader and Celes, Rune Knight, augmented by burn and drain triggers from Syr Konrad, the Grim and Goblin Bombardment. Because the 99 contains an abundance of redundant reanimators, the deck remains exceptionally resilient against commander removal.
