Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie tribal strategy led by Gisa and Geralf. Its primary game plan revolves around filling the graveyard through self-mill, casting redundant Zombie lords from hand and graveyard, and overwhelming opponents through explosive mass reanimation or scaling anthems. The deck curves smoothly from early ramp into its commander on Turn 4, setting up continuous card advantage by recasting fallen creatures each turn. By Turn 6, high-impact spells such as Zombie Apocalypse, Haunting Voyage, Rooftop Storm, or Coat of Arms create decisive board states, frequently draining opponents with Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Diregraf Captain before closing out the game with an evasive alpha strike on Turn 7. While the deck boasts high internal synergy and strong resilience against single-target removal, its interaction package is largely proactive and sorcery-speed, leaving it vulnerable to fast combo decks and dedicated graveyard hate.
