Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy helmed by Varina, Lich Queen. The primary game plan curves low-drop Zombie creatures into an early Varina deployment, leveraging combat attacks to draw, discard, and gain life. This filtering rapidly fills the graveyard with recursion targets while feeding Varina's token creation engine. In the mid-game, the deck compounds board presence using token multipliers like Necroduality, God-Eternal Oketra, and Diregraf Colossus, backed by anthem lords like Death Baron and Lord of the Accursed. The deck closes games through wide evasive combat damage bolstered by On Wings of Gold alongside aristocrat drain engines like Corpse Knight, Wayward Servant, Diregraf Captain, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Robust interaction including Fierce Guardianship, Dovin's Veto, Swords to Plowshares, and Cyclonic Rift protects key assets and disrupts opposing win attempts.
