Deck overview

Teysa Karlov commands an Orzhov Aristocrats deck designed to grind down opponents through doubled death triggers and asymmetric attrition. The deck builds a resilient board of low-cost sacrificial creatures, sacrifice outlets, and drain payoffs such as Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant. With Teysa on the battlefield, every sacrificed creature doubles its token generation, card draw, and drain triggers, rapidly eroding opponent life totals while maintaining a full hand. High-impact spells like Living Death, Bolas's Citadel, and Rally the Ancestors turn loaded graveyards into decisive burst turns. Powerful asymmetric edict effects from Butcher of Malakir and Braids, Cabal Minion keep opposing creature strategies completely suppressed. The deck thrives on incremental value that transitions into an inevitable drain finish, backed by versatile Orzhov exile removal to handle diverse threats.
