Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an aggressive Mardu cheat-into-play deck built around Kaalia of the Vast's attack trigger. The primary plan is to land Kaalia, protect her, and drop Angels, Demons, and Dragons for free each combat. Secondary paths include hardcasting evasive beaters, recurring threats with Whip/Liesa/Emeria Shepherd, and a burst finish from Ancient Gold Dragon plus Dragon Tempest. Isshin, Two Heavens as One doubles Kaalia's trigger, and Master of Cruelties provides a one-shot kill when paired with her. The deck is explosive but linear: its speed and power depend heavily on Kaalia, while the 35-land, low-ramp manabase makes slow draws punishing.
