Deck overview

This Bant deck is commanded by Arcades, the Strategist, turning inexpensive defender creatures into high-powered, cantripping combat threats. The primary strategy accelerates mana on the first two turns to cast Arcades on Turn 3. Once Arcades resolves, every defender draws a card upon entry while attacking with its toughness rather than power. This engine quickly floods the board with undercosted, high-stat creatures like Shield Sphere and Wall of Blossoms. The deck closes games through wide unblockable attacks enabled by Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive and Akroma's Will, or via an infinite mana combo using Axebane Guardian and Freed from the Real to repeatedly venture into the dungeon with Secret Door. An extensive instant-speed protection suite safeguards the board from sweepers and removal.
