Deck overview

This is a Jund group-slug / mana-burn deck helmed by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash. The plan floods the table with excess mana via land doublers and Yurlok's activated ability, then converts unused mana and untapped lands into life loss through Yurlok's static, Citadel of Pain, Power Surge, and Stoneshaker Shaman. Big mana fuels lethal X-spells (Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, Lavalanche, Genesis Wave) and payoff creatures like Heartless Hidetsugu and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus. Secondary lines include infinite-mana loops with Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Magus of the Candelabra, plus stored-mana beaters (Omnath, Locus of Mana, Leyline Tyrant). Yurlok is a strong enabler but not a hard linchpin-the 99 already contains independent burn engines, mana amplification, and finishers-so the deck still functions when he is answered.
