Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Lathril, Blade of the Elves to execute a focused tribal aggro and swarm strategy. In the early game, mana dorks like Priest of Titania, Elvish Mystic, and Llanowar Elves accelerate mana to cast Lathril on Turn 3. Evasion tools such as Vorrac Battlehorns, Cultist of the Absolute, and Demonic Embrace allow Lathril to connect in combat and create Elf Warrior tokens. The deck converts its wide board into a win through combat overrun effects like Overrun and Full Steam Ahead, or direct life loss via Shaman of the Pack, Skemfar Shadowsage, and Lathril's tap ability. Large draw spells like Pact of the Serpent and Shamanic Revelation replenish resources, while protective cards like Golgari Charm and Selfless Safewright defend the board against sweepers.
