Valgavoth Control by oscarmateo

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Terror Eater

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Valgavoth, Terror Eater leads a mono-black attrition and value midrange deck. There is no double-faced commander; the deck is built around Valgavoth's exile-and-play face. The primary plan is to use symmetrical sacrifice and edict effects to clear the board, then convert every opposing creature that dies into cards Valgavoth can cast for life. Crypt Ghast, Black Market, K'rrik, and cost reducers accelerate the nine-mana commander. Once online, the deck grinds with Gray Merchant drains, Wurmcoil beats, and recursed demons. Bolas's Citadel and Emeritus tutoring provide alternate value. There is no combo finish; the deck wins through repeated resource advantage and drain.
