Deck overview

This Boros deck is commanded by Quintorius, History Chaser, focusing on generating value and lethal board states through cards leaving the graveyard. The strategy uses self-mill, rummaging, and recursion to continuously create 3/2 Spirit tokens. In the early game, the deck establishes its mana base with efficient rocks and deploys discard enablers like Containment Construct and Conspiracy Theorist. Once Quintorius resolves, its +1 ability provides steady card advantage and graveyard setup. Mid-game turns leverage recursion engines such as Sun Titan, Serra Paragon, and Excava, the Risen Past to trigger Spirit creation repeatedly. The deck closes games around Turn 8 by leveraging Quintorius's -4 ability for double strike or resolving massive overrun effects like Moonshaker Cavalry and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to strong recursion, the deck remains vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and dedicated graveyard hate.
