Commander: Phelddagrif

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Bant pillowfort-group-hug control deck helmed by Phelddagrif. The hippo is a political tool rather than a pure engine: its activated abilities dole out Hippo tokens, life, and cards to keep the table friendly while the 99 assembles big-mana engines and layered win conditions. The deck ramps aggressively with land tutors and dorks, locks the board behind Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Windborn Muse, then converts advantage through untap engines (Seedborn Muse, Wilderness Reclamation, Argothian Elder) and finishers such as Dingus Staff wipes, Angel's Trumpet tax damage, token swarms under Primal Vigor, and several infinite-mana lines anchored by Ashaya, Soul of the Wild. Secondary paths include Defense of the Heart cheating out threats, Oko, Thief of Crowns theft, and raw combat once the board is frozen. The commander is largely optional; the deck functions as a self-contained Bant value pile.
