Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and topdeck manipulation list built around Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the opening turns to deploy Yennett on Turn 4, using tools like Brainstorm, Sensei's Divining Top, Aminatou, the Fateshifter, and Doom Whisperer to stack high-impact odd-cost spells onto the top of the library. On Turn 5, Yennett attacks to cheat massive game-altering spells into play for free, featuring devastating threats like Void Winnower, Breach the Multiverse, and Toxrill, the Corrosive. The deck backs up this strategy with asymmetric tax and disruption pieces such as Fatespinner, Perplexing Chimera, and Shared Fate, locking down opposing development while closing out the game through combat damage or an alternate Approach of the Second Sun finish.
