Deck overview

Treebeard, Gracious Host commands a resilient Selesnya lifegain aggro deck that converts incidental life totals into overwhelming combat power. By establishing early mana acceleration through low-cost mana dorks, the deck consistently deploys Treebeard on turn 3 or 4, immediately generating two Food tokens. Incidental lifegain from Soul Warden variants, lifelink equipment, and Food activations rapidly pumps Treebeard's built-in trample frame into a lethal voltron threat that eliminates opponents sequentially. Backup engines such as Archangel of Thune, Lathiel, and Heliod spread massive counters across the entire board if Treebeard is answered. The deck supports this aggressive clock with a dense, comprehensive protection suite including Teferi's Protection, Guardian of Faith, and Flawless Maneuver, shielding key permanents from destruction and exile. While lacking instant two-card infinite combos or targeted tutors, the deck excels at creating dominant, self-scaling board states backed by explosive card draw from Sylvan Library, The Great Henge, and Rishkar's Expertise.
