Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Wolf Tribal midrange deck commanded by Chief of the Wilds. The strategy focuses on establishing early ramp, deploying synergistic wolves, and leveraging the commander's ability to accumulate +1/+1 counters while doubling Wolf triggers. Steady card draw engines like Elemental Bond and Garruk's Uprising keep the hand full of gas as new creatures enter the battlefield. In the midgame, the deck multiplies its board presence with explosive token generators such as Hollowhenge Overlord and Tovolar's Huntmaster. Games are decisively closed through overwhelming combat buffs like Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Craterhoof Behemoth, or via the compact two-card infinite token loop between Maskwood Nexus and Turntimber Ranger. The deck offers resilient recovery through graveyard recursion and backup stompy threats.
