Deck overview

This deck uses cheap mana creatures and large green creatures to make Ghalta, Primal Hunger inexpensive. Its main route is to establish a board containing several creatures with at least four power, cast Ghalta, Primal Hunger for a reduced cost, and attack with trample support from Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Garruk's Uprising, or Surrak and Goreclaw. Creature-based draw from Beast Whisperer, Elemental Bond, and related enchantments helps sustain the board. The deck has respectable creature removal and some protection, but it has limited access, no stack interaction, and no reliable compact finish. The first serious threat normally appears around turn 7, after assembly around turn 6. Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth can produce exceptional attacks, but they are not dependable enough to establish a normal table kill. The deck is strongest when opponents cannot answer its board and weakest against sweepers, exile, and repeated spot removal.
