Ratchet, Field Medic by timmm

Format: Commander

Commander: Ratchet, Field Medic // Ratchet, Rescue Racer

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This artifact deck grinds value through life gain, sacrifice, and graveyard recursion. Ratchet, Field Medic is the engine: you gain life from Implement of Improvement, Bottle Gnomes, and Pristine Talisman, then convert Ratchet to reanimate an artifact with mana value equal to life gained that turn. Ratchet, Rescue Racer is the flip side, a vehicle that converts back when nontoken artifacts die, creating a loop. The deck favors the front face, using the back as a payoff. Secondary wins come from anthem combat with Tempered Steel, Flowering of the White Tree and Eldrazi Monument, big threats like Portal to Phyrexia and Wurmcoil Engine, and Aetherflux Reservoir. Scrap Trawler and Trading Post act as hidden commanders that sustain recursion without Ratchet.
