Ping Pong by ajnelmes

Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier leads an Izzet spellslinger deck that turns cheap instants and sorceries into commander damage and mana. Each noncreature spell puts a +1/+1 counter on Vivi and pings each opponent; her activated ability then adds mana equal to her power, letting the deck chain cantrips into bigger draw spells. The primary kill is to double Vivi's power with Bulk Up and Unleash Fury, then cast Chandra's Ignition for 21+ commander damage to each opponent. Secondary burn from Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, Coruscation Mage, and Fiery Inscription can close games if the combo pieces are missing. Niv-Mizzet, Visionary is a hidden draw engine, turning Vivi's pings and burn triggers into cards.
