Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul combat-oriented strategy built around the Earthbend mechanic and +1/+1 counters, commanded by Bumi, Unleashed. The game plan accelerates mana on early turns to cast Bumi on Turn 4, instantly creating an animated 4/4 land creature with haste. When Bumi connects in combat, he untaps all lands and grants a second combat phase exclusive to land creatures. This mechanic effectively doubles combat damage and refills mana for post-combat development. Supporting pieces like Toph, Greatest Earthbender, Hardened Scales, and Unnatural Growth rapidly turn ordinary lands into massive trampling beaters. Earthbend provides built-in board wipe resilience by returning destroyed land creatures to the battlefield tapped. While the deck contains an un-tutorable two-card infinite combat combo with Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, its primary path to victory is relentless, multi-phase combat pressure that overwhelms opponents by Turn 7.
