Deck overview

This deck is a commander-centric cheat aggro strategy led by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan accelerates Kaalia onto the battlefield on Turn 3 using efficient 2-CMC mana rocks. On Turn 4, Kaalia attacks to bypass the heavy mana costs of devastating Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly from hand. Threats like Master of Cruelties offer single-turn player eliminations, while Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Utvara Hellkite establish overwhelming aerial dominance. To ensure Kaalia connects safely, the list runs premier free and low-cost protection spells, including Flawless Maneuver, Flare of Fortitude, Grand Abolisher, and Mother of Runes. A versatile Mardu removal suite and Sunforger toolbox answer opposing threats on demand. While the deck relies heavily on keeping Kaalia active, reanimation spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead provide strong secondary lines when opponents disrupt the commander.
