Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Esper control list commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan accelerates Yennett into play by Turn 3 or 4, curates the top card of the library using cheap tutors and topdeck sculptors, and cheats game-ending odd-cost spells into play for free on attack. Flipping cards like Expropriate, Void Winnower, Portal to Phyrexia, Toxrill, the Corrosive, or Breach the Multiverse generates immediate asymmetric advantage and severely suppresses opposing development. The deck supports this game plan with a comprehensive suite of free countermagic, flexible spot removal, and efficient card draw engines like Rhystic Study and The One Ring. Backup lines through Marvo, Deep Operative and hardcast threats ensure resilience against removal, while Grand Abolisher and Flawless Maneuver protect decisive attack steps. The deck establishes firm table control on Turn 4 and closes the game through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 6.
