Balan voltron equiptment, control Deck by jaredd1212

Format: Commander

Commander: Balan, Wandering Knight

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Balan, Wandering Knight is the intended voltron commander: Balan's {1}{W} attach-all ability bypasses equip costs, and double strike lets an equipped hit close games through commander damage or infect. The deck surrounds Balan with a dense Equipment/Aura package, a deep white tutor suite, and a strong instant-speed protection/interaction shell. Nahiri, the Lithomancer acts as a hidden secondary commander in the 99. The structural problem is the manabase: the list runs only five lands and no basic Plains, so Land Tax, Claim Jumper, Knight of the White Orchid, and Sword of the Animist are dead ramp, and white pips for Balan are scarce. A mulligan into one land plus Sol Ring/Signet and a tutor is nearly mandatory.
