Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis reanimator and midrange control strategy commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The deck leverages dense artifact acceleration to cast Sauron by Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Sauron converts every Ring temptation trigger into a wheel effect—discarding your hand and drawing four cards. This engine rapidly digs through the library while loading the graveyard with game-ending bombs such as Archon of Cruelty, Toxrill, the Corrosive, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater. Cheap reanimation spells like Reanimate and Victimize return these behemoths to play ahead of curve, establishing oppressive board control. Opponents face severe attrition from recurring sacrifice triggers, slime counters, and discard wipes while Sauron amasses an aggressive Orc Army. The deck closes the game by Turn 7 through evasive combat damage and scaling life drain.
