Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Aristocrats engine commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The primary game plan revolves around generating recursive sacrifice fodder to trigger Sephiroth's card draw and life drain abilities. By engineering four creature deaths in a single turn, the deck transforms its commander into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, generating an indelible Super Nova emblem that doubles subsequent death drain across the board. Asymmetric control pieces such as Dictate of Erebos, Archfiend of Depravity, and Sothera, the Supervoid dismantle opposing boards while feeding blood artist payoffs like Zulaport Cutthroat and Syr Konrad, the Grim. The deck finishes games on Turn 8 through accumulated drain triggers, aerial commander combat, and burst life loss from Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Bolas's Citadel.
