unicorn of doom and despair by user7523578

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Selesnya lifegain deck aims to convert every point of life gained into +1/+1 counters, building an overwhelming board of huge trampling or flying creatures. Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn serves as the primary multiplier, distributing counters at each end step, while Archangel of Thune, Heliod, Sun-Crowned, and Nykthos Paragon provide additional counter engines. The deck wins either through massive combat damage with double strike and lifelink from True Conviction or Akroma's Will, or through an infinite life/damage loop using Spike Feeder and Walking Ballista. The commander accelerates the plan but the deck retains multiple independent engines, making it function even if Lathiel is repeatedly removed.
