Witherbloom

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a Golgari combo/storm deck helmed by Witherbloom, the Balancer. The commander's affinity for creatures is the engine that turns a wide board of dorks and tokens into deeply discounted instants and sorceries, letting the deck chain rituals, draw spells, and storm payoffs in one explosive turn. The primary path to victory is the infinite magecraft loop of Witherbloom Apprentice plus Chain of Smog, which drains the entire table. Secondary and tertiary lines include Sprout Swarm buyback loops for infinite tokens, Chatterstorm storm kills, and large X-spell finishes from Finale of Devastation or the Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate back face. The deck runs a very low curve with heavy fast-mana density, and it can function without ever casting its commander.
