Commander: Namor the Sub-Mariner

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This mono-blue Merfolk tribal deck, helmed by Namor the Sub-Mariner, aims to generate a wide board of 1/1 Merfolk tokens by casting noncreature blue spells, then leverage islandwalk lords and buffs to push through lethal combat damage. The commander's power scales with the number of Merfolk you control, making him a potential one-shot threat if the token count gets high enough. The deck is packed with card draw, cantrips, and a suite of counterspells and bounce spells to control the board while building its army. The primary win condition is overwhelming combat damage via evasion and lord effects, with no infinite combos present.
