Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos control and attrition engine focused on -1/-1 counters, wither, and proliferate mechanics led by The Scorpion God. The primary strategy revolves around deploying early mana rocks and synergistic enchantments, casting the commander on Turn 5, and locking down the board on Turn 6 with asymmetric stax pieces like Kulrath Knight or Maha, Its Feathers Night. As opposing creatures receive counters and die, The Scorpion God draws cards to maintain a full hand while Nest of Scarabs floods the battlefield with 1/1 Insect tokens. The deck also contains an infinite death-trigger synergy between Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs. While exceptionally dominant against creature-based combat decks, the list is vulnerable to non-creature combo strategies, enchantment-based engines, and exile-based sweepers.
