Commander: Squall, SeeD Mercenary

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Orzhov equipment-voltron deck helmed by Squall, SeeD Mercenary, built around a single principle: attack with one creature, alone, and make that swing count. Squall's "Rough Divide" grants double strike to any creature attacking alone, and his combat-damage trigger recurs permanents with mana value 3 or less from the graveyard - turning every hit into a value loop. The true engine of the deck, however, is the hidden commander Cloud, Midgar Mercenary in the 99, who tutors an Equipment on entry and doubles Equipment triggers while equipped. The deck is exceptionally tutor-dense (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Steelshaper's Gift) and wins through commander damage via Colossus Hammer, Scytheclaw's life-halving, and Genji Glove extra combats, backed by a deep protection suite.
