Smaug treasure by SueStormsThong

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent leads a mono-red Treasure Dragon deck that turns every attack into mana and damage. You build a board of Dragons and Treasure makers, then use Smaug's attack trigger to burn any target for the number of Treasures you control while Dragons generate more Treasures on combat damage. Secondary wins come from Hellkite Tyrant stealing artifacts and winning with twenty artifacts, Knuckles the Echidna winning with thirty, and pingers like Ingenious Artillerist and Reckless Fireweaver. Magda, Brazen Outlaw acts as a hidden commander, tutoring Dragons or artifacts for five Treasures. The deck plays as a sequential combat deck that must clear three opponents with flying Dragons, extra combats, and growing burn.
