Format: Commander

Commander: The Gitrog Monster

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Gitrog Monster leads a Golgari lands and graveyard value deck that turns land sacrifices and mills into cards. You ramp with one-mana elves, play Gitrog for an extra land drop and a draw whenever lands hit the graveyard, then loop lands with Ramunap Excavator, Six, Icetill Explorer and Life from the Loam while dredging Stinkweed Imp and Golgari Grave-Troll. Six acts as a hidden commander, giving nonland permanents retrace and refilling your hand. Wins come from grinding combat with Gitrog, Ulamog and an elf board, or a large Finale of Devastation for haste. The deck has no infinite combo and wins through incremental advantage.
