Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu Angel tribal strategy led by Kaalia of the Vast. Its main goal is to deploy Kaalia on Turn 4 and attack on Turn 5, bypassing the massive mana costs of legendary Angels like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Aurelia, the Warleader. Once these high-power flying threats enter tapped and attacking, the deck uses evasion and damage multipliers to defeat opponents one by one over several combat phases. The deck features strong board wipes including Farewell and Blasphemous Act, alongside defensive Angels like Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Sephara, Sky's Blade. Because the list has minimal fast mana and few card draw engines, it depends heavily on resolving Kaalia and connecting in combat. Without Kaalia, the high average mana curve slows development significantly, making timing and protection critical to winning.
