Deck overview

This deck is helmed by Toph, the First Metalbender, blending land animation, artifact synergy, and landfall aggression. Toph turns all nontoken artifacts into lands and animates a land every turn with Earthbend, giving it +1/+1 counters, haste, and resilient recursion that returns it to the battlefield tapped if destroyed or exiled. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient 2-mana rocks, deploys Toph by Turn 3 or 4, and scales into lethal combat threats using heavy hitters like Bumi, Unleashed, Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender, and Toph, Greatest Earthbender. Artifact lands and utility pieces double as resilient beaters, while cards like Sylvan Safekeeper convert land resources into protection. Although vulnerable to stack-based combo decks due to a lack of blue counterspells, the deck boasts immense resilience against standard permanent removal and wrath effects.
