Aikido by PolCarpool

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa is a Mardu aikido deck: establish the monarch early, turn opposing aggression into card draw and mana, then punish the table with political goad effects and blowback instants. The commander's haste and deathtouch keep the monarchy and provide a compact voltron clock. The main finish is Gisela, Blade of Goldnight plus Sunforger and Duelist's Heritage: Queen becomes a 7-power double-striker that deals 28 commander damage per turn. A secondary table kill uses Brash Taunter with Fire Covenant and Arcbond, with Gisela doubling the damage. There is no hidden commander; Gisela is the force multiplier, not a commander replacement.
