Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Golgari go-wide swarm engine commanded by Witherbloom, the Balancer. The primary plan focuses on rapidly establishing a dense board of mana dorks and creature tokens through cards like Bitterblossom, Ophiomancer, and Awaken the Woods. Once a wide creature presence is assembled, casting Witherbloom, the Balancer for as little as two mana grants all instant and sorcery spells affinity for creatures. This dramatic cost reduction allows the deck to turn massive game-ending sorceries into two-mana spells. By Turn 5, the deck reliably casts an entwined Tooth and Nail or a fully scaled Finale of Devastation to search up Craterhoof Behemoth and Avenger of Zendikar. The resulting overrun grants trample, haste, and massive power buffs across all attacking creatures, eliminating all three opponents in a single decisive combat phase. Robust mass draw engines and selective protection keep the engine resilient against disruption.
