Deck overview

This Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow deck operates as a classic Dimir tempo-burn strategy that converts unblockable low-cost creatures into rapid card advantage and table-wide life loss. By casting an evasive one-drop on Turn 1 and activating Commander Ninjutsu on Turn 2, the deck bypasses the traditional commander tax and establishes an early, reliable card-drawing engine. The primary win condition revolves around stacking the top of the library with disproportionately high mana value cards—such as Shadow of Mortality, Commit // Memory, Dig Through Time, and Treasure Cruise—using efficient manipulation like Brainstorm, Diabolic Vision, and Scheming Symmetry. As additional Ninjas like Ingenious Infiltrator and Mist-Syndicate Naga enter play, multiple combat damage triggers per turn drain all three opponents simultaneously while refilling the hand with interaction and removal. The deck maintains tempo through efficient creature bounce, spot removal, and modular counterspells to clear blockers and protect its attackers until the table is burned out.
