Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Dimir Reanimator list helmed by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. It leverages efficient self-mill, looting, and targeted graveyard tutors like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Unmarked Grave to place game-ending threats into the graveyard early. From there, it bypasses normal mana constraints using cheap reanimation spells such as Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Dance of the Dead, or through Mirko's end-step trigger powered by consistent surveil mechanics. The deck's primary threats, Archon of Cruelty and Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, generate overwhelming card advantage while stripping opponents of hands and board presence. Clone effects like Auton Soldier and Copycrook duplicate these oppressive triggers to accelerate the damage clock toward a Turn 7 finish. Additionally, the deck incorporates a compact infinite mill and life-drain finish via Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank to bypass stalled boards.
