Deck overview

This Bant (+1/+1 counter) deck, helmed by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, generates incremental value by moving counters between creatures and using the Cheer trigger-drawing a card and proliferating whenever creatures with counters deal combat damage. The primary game plan is to build an overwhelming board of large, keyword-laden creatures through evolve, proliferate, and counter-doubling effects, then close out via combat with trample (Sphere Grid) or a backup infinite-mana sink in Walking Ballista. Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Inexorable Tide accelerate the counter engine, while Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11 multiply each counter placed. The deck plays a midrange value game, grinding out card advantage through Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel, Sylvan Library, and Danny Pink, and relying on a suite of protection spells and board wipes to survive into the late game.
