Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger combo and tempo strategy commanded by Muddle, the Ever-Changing. It blends a fast, compact two-card infinite combo—Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame—with an aggressive token-copying engine. Powered by format-defining fast mana such as Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, and Sol Ring, the deck accelerates into early game-winning positions on Turn 4. Muddle, the Ever-Changing turns low-cost cantrips into explosive myriad triggers by copying impactful creatures like Terror of the Peaks, Port Razer, and Starwinder. Persistent card flow engines like Rhystic Study and Archmage Emeritus maintain a full hand of resources while fueling an elite suite of free protection and disruption spells including Force of Will, Deflecting Swat, and Fierce Guardianship. This structure ensures the deck can proactively threaten lethal finishes while fiercely defending its combo windows.
