Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger control deck helmed by Gandalf, Party Guest. It pairs low-cost legendary Wizards with high-impact sorceries and mass land destruction spells. By deploying cheap Wizards in the opening turns, Gandalf's combat trigger routinely casts spells with mana value 4 to 6 without mana expenditure. The central strategy seeks to cast asymmetric land wipes such as Armageddon or Ravages of War while floating mana to resolve one-sided protection effects like Boros Charm, Teferi's Protection, or Dawn's Truce. Once opposing mana bases are demolished, the surviving board easily controls the game and closes through combat damage, extra-turn chains, or Approach of the Second Sun.
