Deck overview

This Simic stompy list leverages Volo, Guide to Monsters to double high-impact creature spells by maintaining a diverse spread of non-overlapping creature types. The deck accelerates through early land and creature ramp to deploy Volo on Turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, casting mid-to-high CMC creatures like Gruff Triplets, Hornet Queen, and Terastodon produces overwhelming token swarms and double enter-the-battlefield triggers. Junk Winder locks down opposing boards while Garruk's Uprising and Wonder provide trample and evasion. While the deck boasts immense board presence, rapid recovery, and steady card draw, its reactive interaction is primarily sorcery-speed and it lacks cheap defensive countermagic to protect against board wipes.
