Format: Commander

Commander: Satoru Umezawa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Dimir deck leverages Satoru Umezawa to cheat massive game-ending threats into combat via ninjutsu while smoothing card velocity. The primary game plan is establishing cheap, unblockable attackers early, deploying Satoru, and activating his universal ninjutsu ability for four mana to cheat out colossal finishers like Blightsteel Colossus, Archon of Cruelty, or Stormtide Leviathan tapped and attacking. Satoru's triggered ability filters cards directly into hand with each ninjutsu activation. Secondary win conditions involve team-wide burn via Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, or controlling the board through repeatable bounce, lock pieces, and combat dominance across multiple turns.
