Commander: Athreos, God of Passage

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Athreos, God of Passage leads a grindy white-black enchantment/aggro deck that wins through evasive lifelink creatures, repeated board presence, and life-drain triggers. Athreos's death trigger returns your creatures to hand when opponents decline the 3-life tax, feeding an attrition loop and enabling repeated ETB drain from Grim Guardian and enchantment synergies. The primary plan is incremental combat damage with flying creatures and anthem-style pumps (Inspired Charge, Sanctified Charge), while Sorin Markov and Wall of Limbs provide alternate, faster life-total shortcuts. The commander is useful but not essential; the deck can simply beat down with tokens, auras, and recursion. There is no hidden commander; the deck does not exploit any other legendary as a build-around.
